Residential Care

At Blanchelande Park there is a vibrant and active atmosphere with residents free to come and go as they please.

Friends and family are welcome to visit at any time and often enjoy the delicious meals in the restaurant, take tea in the panoramic Treetops Conservatory or the Pavilion. Some like to accompany the residents on walks within the grounds or local area, or to take them for a ride in ‘Blanche’, our own wheelchair-enabled vehicle.

During the night, the nurse in charge will happily check on residents if they wish. If you prefer more privacy, each room is equipped with a Nurse Call system that can be used at any time if assistance is required.

Financial Assistance

The States of Guernsey provide an excellent and generous Long Term Care Benefit Scheme for those who have residential qualifications and have obtained a Nursing or Residential Certificate from the Needs Assessment Panel. These benefits are not means tested, so residents have a right to financial support regardless of their circumstances.
