Supplementary Care
Alternative therapy is also provided and the staff will gladly arrange private appointments for services such as chiropody, physiotherapy, speech and language therapy, nutrition and massage. Nursing staff and assistants are here to care for you whenever needed and will organise prescriptions, assist with baths or showers if required, conduct regular observations, arrange appointments with dentists, opticians or GPs when necessary and generally assist with any medical requirements.
- Laundry This is conducted on site and the housekeeper will make any separate arrangements for dry cleaning, hand washing or clothing repairs.
- Hairdressing Blanchelande Park provides its own hairdressing salon, which is open two days a week for appointments.
- Post All post is delivered directly to your room and your letters can be left in reception for posting, where stamps can also be purchased.
- Trolley Shop A mobile shop is provided from which toiletries, sweets, cards etc. can be purchased and charged to your account.
- Newspapers/Magazines Daily newspapers/magazines can be ordered via reception.
- Transport Blanchelande Park has its own wheelchair enabled vehicle that allows us to extend the level of care we offer to residents, even when they are taken out.
The receptionist will also organise any personal taxis if requested, and escorted minibus outings are available.
